On the afternoon of May 14, a delegation of nine people led by POL.GENERAL PERMPOON CHIDCHOB, the Thai Minister of Education, paid a visit to our college. They were accompanied by Bai Youlin, Deputy Party Secretary and President of WRC, Peng Kaiqin, Vice President, along with directors from our partner Thai colleges and heads of relevant WRC departments.

President Bai Youlin extended a warm welcome to Minister POL.GENERAL PERMPOON CHIDCHOB. During the accompanying tour, he introduced the progress of our college's joint talent cultivation program for the China-Thailand high-speed railway, the construction of the Luban Workshop, and the college's international development path of "Where there is a high-speed railway, there is our service."

Minister POL.GENERAL PERMPOON and his entourage visited the college’s Railway Culture Museum, where they learned about the history of railway development in China. The Minister showed great interest in the latest advancements in high-speed railway technology and inquired about the latest models of electric multiple units (EMUs).

During their visit to the college's National High-Level Training Base for EMU Maintenance, Minister POL.GENERAL PERMPOON fully recognized the role of the virtual-real combined training method in talent cultivation. He expressed keen interest in the virtual simulation training equipment and even attended a training class in progress, observing firsthand the teaching process of teachers from School of Railway Locomotive and Vehicles in the training room. Finally, Minister POL.GENERAL PERMPOON stepped into the virtual simulation EMU driver's cabin, personally experiencing the driving process of a high-speed railway driver.

This visit by the Thai Minister of Education, coinciding with the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Thailand, serves as a strong affirmation of the joint railway talent cultivation efforts between our college and Thai collaborative colleges. It lays a solid foundation for deeper cooperation in the next phase.
