On November 20 to 22, 2024 World Vocational and Technical Education Development Conference, jointly organized by Ministry of Education of China, National Commission of China for UNESCO and Tianjin Municipal People's Government, grandly convened in Tianjin. The conference attracted over 1,200 government officials, diplomatic envoys, representatives of international organizations and institutions from more than 100 countries and regions around the world to focus on the theme of "Innovation empowers the future and skills enlighten new lives", and in-depth discussion of the new path to high-quality development of global vocational education.
Peng Kaiqin, Vice President of WRC, Junya Pabu, Advisor of Banphai Industrial and Community Education College, and Sunya Jansod, Vice President of BPIC, were invited to attend the opening ceremony and parallel meeting of the conference and participate in the exhibition of vocational education. Banphai Industrial and Community Education College of Thailand has been in cooperative relationship with our college since 2015, with pioneered high-speed rail technically skilled talent program in Thailand, and was selected as one of the founding members of World TVET League member units.
During the conference, Vice President Peng Kaiqin of WRC, had in-depth exchanges and reached consensus with Advisor Junya Pabu and Vice President Sanya Janssod of BPIC, on the construction of Luban Workshop in Thailand and the training of international students in China.
Meanwhile, the representatives of WRC and its Thai partners were invited to partake in the forum on internationalized applied technical talent cultivation of rail transportation, and had exchanges with 8 Chinese and foreign colleges from Uzbekistan, South Korea, Kazakhstan and other countries in the field of rail transportation, discussing the collaboration opportunities in internationalized talent cultivation with prospect to promote shared development of rail transportation applied technical talent cultivation by sharing resources and complementary advantages.
