China-US Vocational Education Exchange & Cooperation Meeting Held in WRC
On the morning of June 19, China-US Vocational Education Exchange & Cooperation Meeting was held in Lineng Hall. Mr. Lee Lambert, Chancellor of Pima Community College, Ms. Xu Yan, Deputy Director of International Program and Enrollment, Mr. Cheng Shixing, President of WRC, deans of each school and heads of relevant divisions attended the meeting. The meeting was also attended by the 10 teacher and students who were about to go to Pima Community College for exchange. The meeting was presided by the Vice President Mr. Zhou Shen.
President Cheng extended a warm welcome to the old friends from Pima Community College. He introduced the achievements WRC had made in international cooperation in vocational education and said that the students exchange program beginning at the end of this month would be a good start for substantive cooperation between the two sides. He expected that more in-depth cooperation in more fields could be launched in the coming days.
This was the second time that Chancellor Lambert had paid a visit to WRC. He praised the leapfrog progress made by WRC in international exchange and cooperation, expressed his strong willingness to carry out collaborative programs in electrification, healthcare and so on, and hoped to expand the fields of collaboration between the two sides through this visit.
The advantages and differences of vocational education in China and the US and the partnership vision between the two colleges were thoroughly discussed at the meeting and a consensus on further deepening cooperation was reached. On behalf of WRC, President Cheng awarded Chancellor Lambert the title of Honorary Professor.
